Thoracic spine and Sacroiliac joint, Advanced Techniques, Review of Units 1 & 2

A 5 day unit covering the thoracic spine and sacroiliac joint, advanced techniques, principles of lumbar injections, a review of Units 1 & 2 in preparation for the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine membership examination on the final day. This unit can also be valuable as a refresher course for those who have attended our units previously.

Units 1, 2 and 3 provide core training that enables clinicians working in the MSK field to examine, diagnose and treat common disorders accurately and effectively. The units are ideally suited to clinicians working with MSK patients in all settings including hospital out-patients (physiotherapy, rheumatology), sport, general practice, private practice and orthopaedics.

Once you have completed your booking, the unit handbook will be sent to you 4-6 weeks before the course and the manual will be issued to you on arrival on the first day.

The module will be led by one of our Module Coordinators and tutors from our experienced team.

Lectures: 28 hours

Requirements

  • The units are open to all HCPC registered allied health professionals, registered osteopaths, registered nurses and registered medical practitioners.
  • Chiropractors are welcome to attend our Foundation module units but unfortunately are not yet eligible to take the membership examination at the completion of Unit 3.
  • Unit 1 and 2 must be taken before Unit 3
