Dr Elaine Atkins is the MSc Musculoskeletal Medicine Programme Leader and ensures that students are fully supported in their progress throughout the MSc.

The MSc Musculoskeletal Medicine is a part time blended learning programme with limited attendance requirement and as such you are expected to be independent and take responsibility for your own progression. However, your module leaders/tutors will support you by directing your studies and advising you on the work that you need to cover in any given module.

In addition, at the beginning of the research module you will be allocated an academic advisor and a clinical advisor; both of these will be appropriate to your research topic and will provide support as you develop your proposal and dissertation. You will be responsible for maintaining timely contact with both advisors and we encourage you to take full advantage of their expertise and support.

The support of your cohort is paramount and you will be encouraged to share your contact details so that you can keep in touch throughout the programme.

Part time blended learning offers considerable flexibility to students; it can also lead you to feel isolated. You can be sure that the contact and support is there in abundance if you keep in touch.
